Last week we had a new addition to the Rooster Team, Alice, who joined us to learn the top-secret Rooster way under the guidance of one of our design whizzes!
As a lover of all things design, Allie is looking to conquer the world with her ‘wit and charm’ and even once owned a rooster named Henry! What more could we have asked for?!
To find out a bit more about her, we had a quick-fire 60-second interview, read the results of this below:
I’m Alice – or Allie – and currently in my third year at Leeds University studying Fine Art and History of Art. Check out some of my work here.
Researching what a brand really means and represents and then turning this insight into a tangible essence and brand identity is something I find very interesting. In that respect, design – especially in the marketing world – has always appealed to me as it is a way of incorporating research and art in a way that Fine Art perhaps doesn’t.
I specifically wanted to come for a week at Rooster Marketing as their website and culture really appealed to me; seeming very individual, encouraging and fun I thought, ‘yes, that’s a company I want to know more about!’ More than this though, they always seem to produce some really amazing work, and work that I would love to be a part of – even if that means just making the tea and observing, as all good work experience students should!!
To quite simply be a marketing genius. Well, I haven’t really touched the surface yet, but with the team here at Rooster ‘egging’ me on, I’m in very safe hands and definitely on my way.
Learning some neat design tricks, having a go at designing some logos, also guessing the ages of some of the Rooster team was definite entertainment. Not to mention, having a fabulous view of the back of Brad’s head all week! (He’s got a great barnet if you’re wondering!)
Oh that’s easy:
1. Win the lottery
2. Become a master designer and conquer the world
Originally my answer was flying, until advised by Chris Taylor to go with teleportation so I could teleport into a bank and steal all their money. #RoosterMorals.
I would be white. Technically, not a colour, I know, but it holds so much potential; like a blank canvas, anything could happen!
So there you have it, the low-down on Alice, who she is and what she’s about. We’ve loved having her here in the nest with us all week and we wish her the best for the future, and who knows, perhaps we will even cross paths again.
As Alice touched on, the key to good branding comes from expert understanding. This is because only once you understand the brand you are creating can you touch upon specific brand experiences that need to be induced in order to twinge certain emotive reactions from your audience. It is these emotional responses that will then allow brand awareness and all important brand loyalty to flourish!
