Clayesmore commissioned Rooster to provide art direction, photography and videography alongside the design and build of a responsive website – one that would show off everything that makes this school stand out.
Working closely with Clayesmore, we devised a plan. We’d to capture the character and personality of the grounds, students and teachers – with photography and videography onsite. This would then be worked into the design of a beautiful responsive website, to be built in collaboration with Rooster’s SEO team for a search optimised, user-friendly experience.

We delivered a bespoke website, built from the ground up – with the flexibility, functionality and future-proofing that Clayesmore required. By employing a fully responsive design, users have the optimum experience on any device, without compromising on the look and feel of the site. The reduced mobile loading times offer improved user experience and SEO benefits, without introducing a “stripped down” version of the website.
Within 6 months of the website launch, higher levels of engagement were evident – with the average time on page rising by 83% and a 31% increase in sessions.
Our creative team visited Clayesmore to capture it in photography and film – shooting a blend of images with handheld and drone-mounted video cameras. The footage from this visit was then edited into this seamless video; an immersive snapshot of a typical day of play and learning at Clayesmore.
The creative team knew that capturing the scale of Clayesmore School was going to take a novel approach. Our fully licensed, experienced and CAA-approved drone pilots made full use of the grounds around the stunning 18th century school buildings, to create the incredible aerial shots seen in the video.
Our in-house SEO specialists worked to increase Clayesmore’s rankings – both before and after the launch of the new website. This started with guiding the development of the website through SEO best practices, finding solutions for the particular requirements of large format photography and video.
This was followed by intensive keyword research, which informed the ongoing SEO strategy; using a mix of content, on-page optimisation and further technical SEO activities, Clayesmore’s new website has overtaken the old site by 112 places in Google for their keywords.
