Give a Slice to Charity: Rooster Digital Plan a Golf Day Out to Raise Money for Local Charity

Rooster Digital will be hosting a golf day with a difference. We’re inviting our clients to enjoy a “bad golf” day out – for each ball lost by the player a “penalty” of £10 will be asked for, with all the donations going to Lucy’s Days Out.

Lucy’s Day Out, based in Salisbury, was set up in the name of Lucy Page who passed away in 2010 from Rhabdomyosarcoma – a solid, inoperable tumour in her head. The charity, which opened by Lucy’s request, helps families who have been affected by illness to organize days out and make those special family moments count.

“We all take a day out for granted but for some families the memories of such days are invaluable” says Chris Tyler-Smith, the Marketing Director of Rooster Digital. “This is why we chose to donate to Lucy’s Days Out, so as many people as possible who are going through a difficult time could enjoy a precious day out with their loved ones.”

The course at the John Lewis Leckford Golf Club, Stockbridge, will host a number of well-known local businesses that will unite to raise awareness and funds for Lucy’s Days Out. Players will enjoy a game on the heritage Old Course, which was designed in 1930’s by Harry S Colt, followed by prize giving, canapés and light refreshments.

The event will take place at the beginning of July, so keep an eye out on our blog to read how much we’ve raised and view the images from the day!
