Creative Director

Being one of the founding partners, Jon has been with Rooster from the very start. Sitting as Creative Director and bringing with him over 25 year’s experience Jon is what you would call the ideas house of Rooster.

Drawing influence from Scandinavian design, Jon is an advocate of exploring clarity through simplicity in all his work; his processes are characterised by stripping concepts and ideas right back to what is essential and only then combining them with beauty. His is a real talent for balancing purpose and meaning with pure imagination.

Having previously worked in various creative roles and across a range of sectors, including IT, finance, education, healthcare, property and manufacturing, Jon’s creative ability is remarkable. Adeptly being able to switch from digital, to print, to video and photography production, Jon can translate even the loosest, most creative conceptual idea into a successful and fully integrated business reality.

His deep understanding of brand strategies and their successful applications across different medias ensures that consistency is maintained, engagement is heightened and loyalty increased. One clear example of Jon’s ability to seamlessly work across the whole marketing mix can be seen in our recent work with LVS Ascot School. Here Jon was the brainchild behind our multi-award nominated and fully integrated campaign that spanned digital banners, OOH advertising, livery and vehicle wraps, literature and print. As an individual, Jon is incredibly enthusiastic and personable, meaning that when designing brands he can really delve into the crux of what makes each unique. This ability to work with anyone also means that when providing Art Direction – either in our studio, or out of video and photography shoots, he is really able to see what the finished product should look like, both from a commercial and creative viewpoint, to ensure that the final edit is not only visually impressive but as a marketing tool really drives your audience to engage.
